Gutter Service Across Salt Lake County

Salt Lake County is where SwiftHand Gutters started and where most of our crews work every day. Our shop at 7390 S Creek Rd in Sandy puts the whole valley within thirty minutes, so a Draper replacement, a Sugar House repair and a West Jordan cleaning can all happen on the same day without anyone waiting a week for a slot.

The county is also the most varied gutter market on the Wasatch Front. East-bench homes in Sandy, Cottonwood Heights and Holladay take twice the snow of the west valley and need six-inch gutters and often heat tape. The Avenues, Sugar House and Murray have mid-century and historic homes where half-round, copper and fascia repair come up constantly. Daybreak, Herriman and Riverton are newer subdivisions with HOA color rules and builder-grade gutters that are reaching replacement age. We quote each house for where it sits, not from a county-wide price list.

What Salt Lake County Homes Need From Their Gutters

Lake-effect snow off the Great Salt Lake lands hardest on the east bench, where a Cottonwood Heights or Sandy home can see three times the snowfall of Magna. Those homes need six-inch gutters on the main eaves, hidden hangers screwed into rafter tails, and usually heat tape on north-facing runs. Canyon winds out of Big and Little Cottonwood, Parleys and Millcreek lift downspouts that are strapped with one screw, so we strap every ten feet.

The valley floor has its own problems: mature cottonwoods and sycamores in Murray, Holladay and Sugar House fill gutters twice a year, and the clay soils under much of the west side push roof water back toward basements unless downspouts discharge well away from the foundation. The county’s older housing stock, from the Avenues to Rose Park, means we check fascia on every replacement and carry primed board on the truck.

FAQ

Salt Lake County Gutter Questions

Do you cover the whole county?

Yes, every city and the unincorporated areas, including canyon homes in Emigration, Millcreek and Big Cottonwood below the ski resorts.

Estimates are usually within two or three business days anywhere in the county. Installs are scheduled within one to two weeks in most seasons, and storm repairs are same week.

Usually on the main eaves. The extra capacity handles spring melt from a heavy snowpack, and the larger downspouts are less likely to freeze solid.

Yes. We carry the common HOA-approved colors and handle architectural review paperwork when it is required.
