Home of the east wind. Thirty minutes from Sandy.

Farmington is where the Davis County east wind is strongest. When a high-pressure system sets up over Wyoming, the wind comes down Farmington Canyon at seventy to ninety miles an hour, and every winter it takes gutters and downspouts off homes that were hung for a calmer place. The city also has a historic downtown around Main Street and the Farmington Tabernacle, bench homes toward the canyon, and fast-growing subdivisions around Station Park and the west side toward the lake.
SwiftHand Gutters serves Farmington weekly on our Davis County route with Kaysville, Centerville and Fruit Heights. We hang gutters that stay on in the east wind, repair the fascia on older homes, and work with builders in the Station Park growth area.

Everything in Farmington is designed around the wind. Gutters go up on screw hangers at twelve to sixteen-inch centers on east- and north-facing runs, never on spikes. Downspouts are strapped at every elbow and every eight to ten feet, with screws into framing rather than siding. We use .032 gauge aluminum as the default because lighter gutters flex and work loose, and we check that end caps and outlets are mechanically fastened, not just sealed.
The bench toward the canyon adds snow and ice, so six-inch gutters and heat tape are regular lines on estimates above Main Street. Historic downtown homes have wood fascia that needs repair on most replacements. The newer subdivisions west of I-15 and around Station Park are flat and need extensions or buried lines to keep roof water away from foundations, and most have HOA color rules we handle with the sample ring.
Prices are published on our pricing page and are the same in Farmington as anywhere else we work. Estimates are free, measured on site and itemized by the foot.
