We quote both when both make sense. A single leaking corner, one loose run or a disconnected downspout is a repair. Three or more problems on the same system, any fascia damage, or gutters older than 20 years usually mean replacement is cheaper over the next ten years than a series of service calls. We will show you the failing sections on our inspection and give you an honest recommendation either way.
Removal and disposal of the existing gutters and downspouts. Inspection of fascia, drip edge and soffit, with rotted fascia replaced and primed before installation (see soffit and fascia). New seamless gutters formed on site in your choice of 5-inch or 6-inch K-style, half-round or box profiles. Hidden hangers screwed on 24-inch centers, sealed corners and outlets, new downspouts and extensions, and a full water test. Optional add-ons include gutter guards, heat tape and underground drainage.
Replacement pricing follows installation pricing plus removal: expect $9 to $16 per linear foot for seamless aluminum including tear-off and disposal, with fascia repair quoted separately by the board. A complete replacement on an average two-story home typically falls between $2,000 and $4,000. We itemize every line so you can compare quotes fairly.
