Murray is the center of the valley and one of its oldest suburbs, with block after block of fifties and sixties ramblers and split-levels around Murray Park, Vine Street, Fashion Place and the streets between State Street and 900 East. Many still carry their original gutters, or a second set hung on spikes thirty years ago, under elms, sycamores and cottonwoods that have been growing since the houses were built.

Age and trees. A sixty-year-old rambler in Murray usually has wood fascia that has been wet behind a leaking gutter for a decade, so we probe it on every estimate and quote repair by the section. The original spike hangers have worked loose in that soft wood, which is why Murray gutters sag along the middle of long runs and overflow at the corners.
