Big trees, custom homes and canyon-mouth snow. Fifteen minutes from our Sandy shop.

Holladay has more mature tree cover than almost any city in the valley, and that defines gutter work there. Cottonwoods, sycamores, maples and old fruit trees along Walker Lane, Cottonwood Lane and the streets off Highland Drive fill gutters twice a year, and the custom and estate homes in Olympus Cove, Cottonwood and the Mount Olympus foothills have long, complex rooflines with a lot of inside corners.
SwiftHand Gutters is fifteen minutes south in Sandy and works Holladay with Millcreek and Cottonwood Heights. We install six-inch and five-inch seamless aluminum, half-round and copper on homes that call for it, micro-mesh guards sized for cottonwood seed, and heat tape on the shaded north and east eaves below Mount Olympus.

Debris first. A Holladay gutter under a cottonwood can go from clean to overflowing in a single week of June seed drop, and the leaf load in October is heavier than anywhere else on our routes. Micro-mesh guards are the right answer on most Holladay lots because screen and foam cannot handle the fine cottonwood fluff; where homeowners prefer open gutters, the maintenance plan with a third visit is common.
Snow second. Olympus Cove and the homes against the foothills get lake-effect accumulation and cold shade from Mount Olympus, so ice dams on north-facing eaves are routine and heat tape is a regular line. The large custom homes have long eaves that need six-inch gutters and extra downspouts, and many of the mid-century homes in the older Holladay neighborhoods have original fascia that needs repair before anything new goes up.

01
We measure every run, check the fascia and downspout placement, and leave an itemized quote by the foot. Most Holladay estimates are scheduled within two or three business days.
02
We recommend five-inch or six-inch run by run, aluminum, steel or copper, and match a color to your trim from the sample ring.
03
Seamless gutters are formed in your driveway, hung on hidden screw hangers, pitched and sealed, with downspouts connected the same day.
04
We water test every section, haul away the old gutters and hand you the seven-year workmanship warranty.
Stainless micro-mesh. Screen, foam and brush guards let cottonwood seed through or clog on top of it. We install micro-mesh on most Holladay homes.
Most north- and east-facing eaves do. Ice dams are common below Mount Olympus and heat tape on a sensor controller is the standard fix.
Yes. We install copper half-round and aluminum half-round and match them to the home’s trim.
Two to three times a year on most lots: after cottonwood season, after leaf drop and often once more in late fall.
