Cold-valley ice, heavy mountain snow and a lot of new construction, served from the same crews that handle Park City.

Wasatch County has two gutter climates. The Heber Valley floor, including Heber City, Midway, Charleston and Daniel, is one of the coldest inhabited places along the Wasatch Back; inversions hold temperatures below freezing for weeks, so any water that gets into a gutter in December stays there as ice until March. The benches and canyons above the valley, including Red Ledges, Timber Lakes and the Wasatch Mountain State Park side of Midway, get mountain snowfall on top of the cold.
SwiftHand Gutters serves the county alongside Park City, with six-inch gutters, heat tape and downspout extensions that reach past the walkway as standard recommendations. The county is also one of the fastest-growing building markets in Utah, and we work with builders in Red Ledges, Midway and the north Heber subdivisions; see new construction gutters.

Valley-floor homes in Heber and Midway need gutters designed for ice more than for rain. Heat tape on the gutter and down every downspout, run on a sensor controller so it only draws power when it is cold and wet, is the single most effective upgrade we install there. Six-inch gutters and three-by-four downspouts resist freezing solid longer than five-inch, and extensions should carry water well past patios and walks where refreeze creates a slip hazard.
Red Ledges, Timber Lakes and the Midway bench add mountain snow load: steel or heavy-gauge aluminum, snow guards on metal roofs, and screw hangers on close centers. HOA and design-review rules in Red Ledges and Midway’s newer communities often specify dark bronze or black gutters, and we handle the submittals.
Pricing is the same across the county and is published on our pricing page. Every estimate is free, measured on site and itemized by the foot.
No. Wasatch County projects are grouped with Park City work and quoted the same way as the valley.
Self-regulating cable on a sensor controller draws power only when it is below freezing and wet. A typical Heber home spends $40 to $80 a winter on it.
Yes. We work with builders on takeoffs, scheduling and HOA color submittals.
